San Antonio teachers can enjoy appreciation this week in a list of locations. From tacos to movies, local businesses are finding ways to show their gratitude to educators.
Some companies give outright freebies, while others give percentages on merchandise. All require a valid school-issued ID.

From 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 6, teachers can enjoy one item from the lunch menu for free. All teachers need to do is present school-issued identification.
Las Palapas offers a percentage discount on tickets for teachers.

Las Palapas, owned by San Antonio, is offering teachers 25% off their checks Monday through Friday with proper identification.
EVO offers free movies for educators.
giant noiseThe entertainment center chain, which includes movie theaters, is offering screenings for teachers this week. Offer must be redeemed in person with valid ID. The offer is limited to one free movie screening per day.
HTeaO is a Texas-brewed company that offers a menu of iced tea flavors to suit all tastes, from super-sweet to decaffeinated options, with the ability for customers to create their own blends. The chain has amassed a following across the state and now San Antonio is starting to get a taste of it. The new 22127 Bulverde location celebrated a grand opening on May 22. CEO Justin Howe said another location will open on Huebner and teased a third local store.
