UFC Vegas 41 Betting Tips
UFC Vegas 41 is featured by a middleweight clash between Paulo costa and Marvin vettori. Israel Adesanya recently outscored both men in title fights, meaning this main event slot represents a big fight if either is to stay in the title photo. That being said, here are some UFC Vegas 41 betting tips to help you win big this weekend.
UFC Vegas 41 Betting Tips
Paulo Costa to win (+115)
Paulo Costa (13-1) will look to bounce back from his first career loss to another contender Marvin vettori (17-5-1). The fight should play out like a classic attacker and grappler clash and promises fireworks from the start.
Vettori will undoubtedly try to drag Costa to the mat with minimal delay on Saturday. “The Italian Dream” is a top wrestler with a strong finishing instinct on the floor, with nine of his seventeen wins by submission. Vettori has spent 25 minutes in his last three fights, indicating his cardio should be better than Costa, who has never even made the championship round. Vettori also showed better hitting when he sent Jack Hermansson, but Costa represents a very different caliber of attacker.
Paulo Costa is one of the most formidable fighters in the middleweight division, with an impressive 92% success rate throughout his career. The Brazilian combines the power of a knockout with the ability to attack opponents with strikes after softening the mid section, a nightmare for any opponent. Costa won’t be the easiest to defeat, as he demonstrated by limiting Olympic wrestling silver medalist Yoel Romero 1/4 withdrawals in their contest. “Borrachinha” should be able to outperform Vettori as long as the fight stays upright and his cardio holds up and he’s able to cram most teardown attempts.
If it weren’t for the fact that Vettori was never finished, Costa by KO would be a great choice for these recommendations. However, considering the fact that his chin has held up throughout his career, just backing Costa to win straight is a solid top pick among these UFC Vegas 41 betting tips.
Victory of Francisco Trinaldo (-120)
Francisco Trinaldo 26-8 faces Dwight Grant (11-3) in a welterweight junkyard. With a combined age of 80, it will be fun to watch the two veterans go head to head inside the Octagon.
Grant is difficult to read as a forward. With seven of his eleven knockout wins, it’s obvious he has some legitimate power and should shoot at will to the feet. However, he’s been proven to be shy with guns throughout his tenure in the UFC and low-performing strikes have been his downfall of late. Plus, he seriously exploded in a first-round loss to Daniel Rodriguez, casting doubt on the adequacy of his cardio compared to a high level opposition.
In addition, Trinaldo has looked better than ever in the last few fights. A superb knockout against the British prospect Jai Herbert was followed by a close loss to a great striker from Muslim Salikhov. Since moving to welterweight, Trinaldo’s cardio has looked a lot more impressive while his strike is still going strong. Trinaldo is always putting the pressure on, and it could easily overwhelm Grant if he doesn’t earn some respect early on.
Trinaldo’s striking defense has always been slightly lax and he’ll need to make sure he doesn’t leave any counter openings open for Grant. That being said, Trinaldo has good value as a narrow favorite and therefore is the second inclusion on these UFC Vegas 41 betting tips.
